As a Pre Op Assistant, you must show your ability to interact with patients online and over the phone. Also, you need to be oriented to detail and have excellent communication skills, both verbally and via emails. Responsibilities Provide guidance and act as a liaison between the surgeon and physicians. Assist the Pre Op and Post Op doctors to prepare the patients medical history 60 days and 30 days before and after surgery. Maintain communication with the patients primary care physician for a complete physical and psychological evaluation, along with an evaluation of the patients history and diagnostic tests. Verify and report to the Pre Op and Post Op doctors, the medical history of each patient. Answer all incoming calls, return calls to patients, and take notes in the proper system. Forward all calls to the correct department. Any other task assigned by the manager department.
